Through a new partnership, Blue Shield of California members will have access to Maven Clinic's virtual family care platform.

Blue Shield of California has entered into a partnership with Maven Clinic, giving eligible members access to Maven's virtual family care platform, which provides virtual pregnancy and postpartum care.

Maven Clinic operates as a virtual clinic that provides fertility, pregnancy, and parenting support and services for women and their families.

The goal of the new collaboration is to enable Blue Shield of California members to take a comprehensive approach to maternal health and postpartum care. The Maven platform will complement in-person care through on-demand virtual appointments and support from care advocates who can help members navigate their care journey.

More than half of Blue Shield of California's approximately 4.5 million members are expected to have access to Maven's platform. Within a day of the partnership's launch, over 500 people enrolled in the virtual family care platform, and 65 percent of those who are pregnant are first-time moms.
